Ferahan Mahal Rugs

Our new collection of Ferahan Mahal rugs, offers a selection of truly unique, handmade traditional rugs with a completely fresh philosophy.

These pieces were created to bring heritage, but not the look of a classic rug. Each piece is carefully chosen by our company from different artisans in small cities and villages of central Afghanistan to ensure authenticity, quality, and finishing. As a result, no two pieces are the same, meaning you can add an authentic and unique piece of heritage to your home.

The rugs of the Ferahan Mahal collection have a very similar design and style to Ziegler/Ferahan. Our weavers use Ghazni, a shiny Afghan silk wool that is hand-spun and natural-vegetable dyes, including terracotta, seafoam green, ivory, and sky blue.

The lovely, usually stony gray background ties the palette of all the colors together. Once the threads have been dyed and woven onto a cotton warp in Afghanistan, the rugs are transported to Pakistan, where they are finished with expertise, including washing, finishing, and low-pile cut.
